About Mission Retirement Consulting
I don’t gather assets, pitch rollovers, or cross-sell your employees into IRAs. I work exclusively on corporate retirement plans — because they deserve someone who actually focuses on them.
I’ve been working with retirement plans since 1996. I started as a college intern at a TPA firm in my hometown of Cleveland. In 2001, I packed up my car and headed west — Santa Barbara first, then San Diego in 2006, which has felt like home ever since.
Over the years, I’ve worked on everything from solo 401(k)s to plans with thousands of participants — supporting businesses ranging from local shops to global corporations. That range gave me a clear view of how this industry really operates… and all the ways it fails sponsors who simply want their plan to run properly.
In 2019, I launched Mission Retirement Consulting. Not to build an empire — but to build something structured and accountable. I wanted to step off the corporate treadmill and create a firm where clients weren’t handed off, upsold, or deprioritized.
Once I stepped outside the large-firm model, one thing became obvious: small and mid-sized businesses are often underserved in this space. Too small for the A-team. Too easy to overcharge. Too often left guessing.
So I built something different.
A one-advisor firm focused on oversight, documentation, and direct access. No call centers. No asset-gathering agenda. No disappearing after enrollment.
You probably already have a 401(k) advisor.
You just might not have one who’s actively overseeing it.
That’s where I come in.
